چکیده

An elementary lemma is used in order to show that the natural inclusion Jp → Jq of James spaces is superstrictly singular for p < q. As a consequence, it is shown that an operator without nontrivial invariant subspaces constructed by Charles Read is superstrictly singular.

Amd-numbers, Compactness, Strict Singularity and the Essential Spectrum of Operators

For an operator T acting from an infinite-dimensional Hilbert space H to a normed space Y we define the upper AMD-number δ(T ) and the lower AMD-number δ(T ) as the upper and the lower limit of the net (δ(T |E))E∈FD(H) , with respect to the family FD(H) of all finite-dimensional subspaces of H. When these numbers are equal, the operator is called AMDregular. It is shown that if an operator T is...

A Class of Maximal Operators with Rough Kernel on Product Spaces

In this note the authors prove the Lp(Rn×Rm)-boundedness for a class of maximal singular integral operators with rough kernel on product spaces. This extends a result obtained by Chen and Wang in 1992.

ON FELBIN’S-TYPE FUZZY NORMED LINEAR SPACES AND FUZZY BOUNDED OPERATORS

In this note, we aim to present some properties of the space of all weakly fuzzy bounded linear operators, with the Bag and Samanta’s operator norm on Felbin’s-type fuzzy normed spaces. In particular, the completeness of this space is studied. By some counterexamples, it is shown that the inverse mapping theorem and the Banach-Steinhaus’s theorem, are not valid for this fuzzy setting. Also...

Some properties of continuous linear operators in topological vector PN-spaces

The notion of a probabilistic metric  space  corresponds to thesituations when we do not know exactly the  distance.  Probabilistic Metric space was  introduced by Karl Menger. Alsina, Schweizer and Sklar gave a general definition of  probabilistic normed space based on the definition of Menger [1]. In this note we study the PN spaces which are  topological vector spaces and the open mapping an...
